Jay Chen for Congress
MEET JAY CHEN
Jay Chen is President of the Board of Trustees for Mt. San Antonio Community College, a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy Reserves, and a successful small business owner. The child of immigrants from Taiwan, Jay attended local public schools and earned a Navy ROTC scholarship to attend Harvard University. As part of Operation Inherent Resolve Lieutenant Commander Chen led an intelligence team and brought justice to the terror group ISIS. Jay will work to restore accountability and integrity to Congress. He will stand up to insurance and drug companies and make health cvcare more affordable. He will fight to increase the size and scope of small business loans so that our local economy can recover, and work across the aisle to invest in education, strengthen our supply chains, and reduce inflation. He will also stand up for our veterans and ensure that they have access to quality healthcare and jobs after they complete their service to our country. Jay and his wife Karen live in Hacienda Heights where they are raising their two boys.
Gun Control
Guns that can be used as weapons of mass destruction are what we have to be concerned about. Black market accessories, conversion kits, extended magazines -- creating weapons you only need in a war zone. They belong with soldiers. Having something like that at home is a bad idea. On the other hand, Michelle Steel has an A+ rating from the NRA, takes in major donations from gun makers and their PACs, and opposes any kind of gun control.
Women's Rights
Jay believes that reproductive rights should be protected at all cost and health care decisions should be made between a woman and her doctor, without interference from politicians. Attacks on Roe vs Wade and the right to an abortion endangers the health and safety of women across the country. As for Michelle Steel, she was one of the 17 EXTREMIST congress members who wrote to the Supreme Court pleading for them to rule against Roe v. Wade and eliminate women's right to privacy, healthcare, abortion.
Fighting against inflation

Bringing Back CHIP Manufacturing
Orange County's semiconductor industry provides thousands of good jobs. The passage of this act will bring millions of dollars in federal funds to OC to expand our manufacturing. But once again it shows us how Michelle Steel lies -- she SAID bringing manufacturing back from China was a key goal, and then SHE VOTED AGAINST THIS BILL! Jay Chen and the Democrats are working to shorten our supply chains, bring manufacturing jobs back to America, and strengthen our national security by not being so dependent on foreign sources for key components.
